Faith Nawagi was born/raised in Kampala and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Makerere University College of Health Sciences in 2015. Currently, Faith is pursuing a Masters in International Public Health at EUCLID University. She has worked tirelessly to grow her research career right from the grass roots of her undergraduate training, with a wide range of experience in research, building partnerships, and community coordination. As a fresh graduate in 2015, but equipped with paramount professional skills, Faith took on a study coordinator role at Makerere University Johns Hopkins research collaboration, for an NIH RO1 grant that focused on the Effect of Depo-provera and Tenofivir use on Bone Mineral Density among young HIV positive women. She has also been a proactive member of the Women’s Health Task Force for the Network Towards Unity for Health since 2014, and won a mini grant to implement a cervical cancer project focused on slum population. Faith is the Acara Consultant for SMS Maama.
